Message	I feel you can damage them hitting them with a sledge and since this is a steering component I would not take that chance. I prefer the correct way with a removal tool that presses it out. They are fairly cheap and can be found at any parts store normally. A regular 2 jaw bearing puller will work also. www.Zspeedperformance.com
